Examinations Conducted by NECO
They are Various exams conducted by the Neco boards.We have the Senior School Certificate Examinations.
The NECO senior certificate examination has commence registration for the 2024. ( Internal)
One of the core mandates of the Council as espoused in the enabling Act is the conduct of the Senior School Certificate Examination for internal and external candidates. Other examinations conducted by the Council are: National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Which you know as junior WAEC.
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the examination conducted for candidates of Federal Unity Colleges and other allied institutions who have completed their Junior Secondary School education.
This means that only student going to federal colleges or school under federal re to write this exam
The next one is the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE). There are differences between State Common Entrance and Federal Common Entrance.
We have a lot of entrance examinations but my article is base on NECO Exams. In my next article I will explain types of common entrance their date advantages and disadvantages.
The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is administered to pupils in their 6th year of primary schooling which is the final stage of primary education. The purpose of this examination is to select the qualified candidates from every state of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for admission into Federal Unity colleges. Only pupils entry federal school will partake in this exam. It's different from placement of exam.
